Coverage

Anlin Entry Systems warrants that entry doors covered by this Limited Warranty will be free from defects in material and workmanship that would render the door unfit for its designed use, subject to the conditions and restrictions contained herein. This Limited Warranty extends only to the original purchaser and is not transferable. The warranty periods described herein begins on the date of purchase of the Entry Door from Anlin.

Door Frame, Finishes, Glass Panels, Hinges and Hardware

The door frame (jambs, head & sill) is warranted for 10 years from the date of purchase, from defects in material and workmanship, provided that the purchaser has complied with all recommended installation instructions, preventive care, including, but not limited to proper stain and/or paint recommendations. The hermetic seal of the glass panels is warranted for 10 years to not permanently fail due to defective material and/or manufacturing of the insulated panel. No other warranty is provided for the glass panels. The finish on pre-finished door panels is warranted for 2 years for material and workmanship. Hinges are warranted for 1 year for material and or workmanship. Door hardware (handles, latches and locks) is warranted for 5 years by the original manufacturer (see reverse side for details).

Exceptions from Coverage

The following are not covered by this Limited Warranty and shall not be considered to be defects in material or workmanship:

  • Glass breakage. Also, slight lines or bubbles are a natural characteristic of handcrafted glass and are not considered defects.
  • Misuse or abuse of the door.
  • Normal wear and tear or natural weathering of surfaces, including but not limited to the metal threshold.
  • Acts of nature, including but not limited to fire, water damage, wind damage, etc.
  • Improper storage, handling, installation or finishing.
  • Failure to follow recommended installation, maintenance or finishing instructions. (Details available at Anlin.com) This exclusion includes the failure to finish the fiberglass components of the door within 90 days of the completion of installation.
  • Water or air infiltration damage due to defective installation and/or building design or construction.
  • Exposure to chemicals, acids, chemical fumes, salt spray or other corrosive substances.

Exclusive Remedies

Upon receipt by Anlin of a valid claim Anlin will replace the door and/or door components with products of a like kind and design. In the alternative, Anlin reserves the right to refund the purchaser the original purchase price.

Limitations on Remedies

Anlin makes no warranty other then as set forth above. All implied warranties, including the implied warranties of merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose are excluded and disclaimed. Anlin’s maximum liability under this Limited Warranty is the original purchase price. In no event shall Anlin be responsible for incidental or consequential damages, costs, charges or expenses, including but not limited to damages for breach of contract, negligence, strict liability, breach of express or implied warranty, or any other legal theory. The law applicable to this Limited Warranty shall be California law. The venue for all legal proceedings relating to or arising out of this Limited Warrant shall be Fresno County, California.

Hardware Warranty Details

Emtek Products Inc. (the “company”) warrants to the original purchaser that, except for products with Rust, Deep Burgundy, Medium Bronze, Flat Black Patina and Silver Patina finishes, the products manufactured by it (the “Products”) are free of defects in material and workmanship, provided:

  1. The Company has been notified within five years of purchase date and has been given the opportunity of inspection by return of any alleged defective Products to the Company, free and clear of all liens and encumbrances, transportation prepaid, accompanied by a statement of defects and proof of purchase: and
  2. The Product has not been modified, abused, misused or improperly installed, maintained and/or repaired during such period: and

There is no warranty on Rust, Deep Burgundy, Medium Bronze, Flat Black Patina and Silver Patina finishes.

The Company shall, at its option, either repair or replace, free of charge, any Products or part thereof found upon the Company’s inspection, to be so defective, or at the Company’s sole discretion refund the purchase price, less a reasonable allowance for depreciation, in exchange for the Product.

The Company makes no other warranty, and all implied warranties including any warranty of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose are limited to the duration of the expressed warranty period as set forth above.

The Company’s maximum liability hereunder is limited to the purchase price of the Product. In no event shall the Company be liable for any consequential, indirect, incidental or special damages of any nature arising from the sale or use of the Product, whether in contract, tort, strict liability or otherwise.
